The Farm is an integrating part of the Resort and to distinguish our uniqueness, we offer the possibility to visit our cellar and taste the best Asti wines.
The Resort disposes of eleven hectares of cultivated vineyards on one extension and enjoys the best sunshine at an altitude of about 220 meters above sea level. The Gerbi family have always had a passion for the marvelous wine only produced in the Province of Asti; unique in the world for its generous bouquet and taste, they personally take care of the vineyards themselves with love and experience. The annual production comes from various types of vines such as: Barbera, Grignolino, Cortese, Chardonnay, Brachetto, Moscato and Fresia.
Vinification of the grapes takes place in the Farm cellars inside stainless steel tubs, where the temperature is controlled to guarantee constant fermentation, whilst 225 liter French oak Barriques are employed for the aging process of Barbera.
At the Resort research on the vineyards is constantly and continually done to improve the quality of the product, by making selections on the vines during pruning time and after veraison, also to avoid excess production, which guarantees excellent ripening of the grape bunches. Neither weed killers nor chemical fertilizers are used.
Besides producing superb wines, the Farm prepares home-made pickled fruit, jams, grape spirit and spirits. The Gerbi family are also the owners of the wine shop “La Cantina” in the heart of the Province of Asti, and renowned for the variety of products and wines they sell.
