History, legends and truth

So the legend goes, it was right on the Bricco More (later called Amore) in the year two hundred, when two lovers who went down in History met; Bianca Lancia from the family of the Count of Loreto and the Emperor Frederick II of Sweden.

Attracted by Bianca’s beauty, he fell desperately in love with her and although he was already married, she bore him two children; Costanza and Manfredi from Sicily.

Today, NaturalMente’s wine cellar, and Alessandro Farm, still offer its guests the nectar of the gods which seduced the lovers: Barbera d’Asti Bricco dell’Amore; a deep crimson colour, a strong winey bouquet, as it ages it turns delicate, with a dry, pleasant full taste.
